Yuruyuri: Happy Go Lily Season 2 (Yuru Yuri♪♪) Review  In Few Words (Mini Review).

The fun of Yuruyuri continues, with more of everything you liked in the first season, plus a few new characters.
Yuruyuri is still the funny anime we know, the one that doesn’t depends on moe & cuteness to be good anime, and there is that too.
And need less to say, Yuruyuri: Happy Go Lily Season 2 is a much watch for anyone who liked the first season.

Good things about Yuruyuri: Happy Go Lily Season 2

  • Still one of the most funny anime ever.
  • Still has a great rewatching value.
  • Contains much more focus on Sakurako & Himawari. Which is great, giving how loveable these two are.
  • The jokes are more amusing in this new season.

Possibly bad things about Yuruyuri: Happy Go Lily Season 2

  • None at all. ^^

Story

The story of Yuruyuri, which doesn’t exist, continues in the second season, the four girls, Akari, Kyouko, Yui & Chinatsu are still using the Tea Ceremony Club room for their unofficial Amusement Club, and we continue to see their way of having fun there, with a good focus on the other characters from timer to time. If you liked Sakurako & Himawari, you are bound to like this season pretty much, as there is a good amount of them, and you will even get to know about their families as well. ^^
Sakurako & Himawari
If you watched the first season of Yuruyuri, you are bound to have a lot of fun, as you will get more of what made you liked Yuruyuru in the first place, like more good jokes, more Akarin is being ignored, as you will see from the opening song. You will also get to see more Mirukurun. I personally find the jokes in the second season to be even more amusing compared to the first season.
On the top of that, Yuruyuri: Happy Go Lily Season 2 introduces more characters to the bunch, all of the new characters are side characters, but they are good nevertheless. I avoided talking about most of the, in this review, as that will ruin some of the fun of watching this second season.

The ArtAkarin

Yuruyuri: Happy Go Lily Season 2 continues with the same simple yet moe art style from the first season, which does the job pretty well. The rounded eyes of the characters are still adorable, which is one of the most prominent aspect of Yuru Yuri art style.

Characters

Himawari Imouto

I won’t go into the four main girls, as I already covered them, I also assume that you watched the first season, if not, refer Yuruyuri: Happy Go Lily Season 1 review.
Yuruyuri: Happy Go Lily Season 2 introduces even more characters to bunch, I find it pretty hard to talk about these characters without spoiling some of the fun of watching the season season, so I dropped that part for now.

Pacing & Enjoyment

Yuruyuri Season Two

Yuruyuri: Happy Go Lily Season 2 still deserve 10/10 when it comes to pacing & enjoyment, as it is an anime that is watched primarily for the fun moments and the jokes that are done pretty well. The jokes in the second season are even more amusing the ones in the first season. And just like the first season, this season has a good rewatching value, which I use as a way to measure how much enjoyable an anime ca be.

Extra Few Things

Yuruyuri: Happy Go Lily opening Season 2 song

Yuruyuri: Happy Go Lily Season 2 opening song is pretty amusing & funny. it starts with introducing the girls again on stage, as if to tell you that they are back. I personally liked the funny dancing & hand movement at the beginning of the opening.
The  opening song still introduce Akari as the main character, and it is still shows you Yuriyuri as if it is just another Cute Girls Doing Cute things, but this time, we know that is not that case.
The opening song itself is still catchy, and I think we will like it even more if we could understand Japanese.
When it comes to the opening songs, there is a little surprise in one of the openings, which I won’t say anything about here. :P

Yuruyuri: Happy Go Lily Season 2 ending song

Season 2 has a fun ending like the first season’s, it shows you the girls meet up, then go having a fun time together. The ending scenes are very nice & fun to watch, especially how fast-paced they are.
I didn’t like the song itself like the ending song of the first season, but it is a nice one to watch after each episode.

Season 3 is coming.

I have a happy new for all the fans of Yuruyuri, as a third season of this fun anime has been announced, it will be aired under the name Yuru Yuri San Hai!. The third season will start airing in Fall 2015 anime season, or in 6 October 2015 to be exact. I don’t know the number of episodes in the 3rd season yet, but I hope it will be longer than the first two seasons.

Anime to watch if you liked Yuruyuri: Happy Go Lily Season 2

As with the first season, I still recommend D-Frag! to anyone who likes Yuruyuri ^^

D-Frag!

D-Frag Review Features Image

D-Frag shares the same comedy theme as Yuruyuri: Happy Go Lily. It is full of jokes & gags that are done well, minus the Yuri part.
The story of D-Frag! follows Kazama Kenji, who pretends to be a delinquent, and wishes to be the strongest in his school. Only to be forced to join the Game Development Club, and things go from there. It is not easy to say everything about D-Frag! in one paragraph, so I recommend you to read my separate review of it to know more about it^^

And finally

Fortunately for us, there is a 3rd season, but produce one that is 24 episodes long at least. XD
I still recommend Yuruyuri: Happy Go Lily Season 2 for anyone who likes to enjoy their anime, or the characters. As long you don’t expect more than the comedy in it. If you like comedy as well.
At the end, I really hope you liked my Yuruyuri: Happy Go Lily Season 2 review, and I hope to see you soon in another review. :)
