Kindly find a list of the best affordable 3D printers I reviewed in this blog
3D printing is the hype nowadays. The futurologist Jeremy Rifkin said that it is going to be the 3rd industrial revolution (according to Wikipedia). And things is very likely going to go up from here.
Finding the right 3D printer can save you a lot of money & hassle. 3D printers range from the very affordable 3D printers that requires either assembling, or require you to only use a proprietary filament type. To those that are more expensive but gives you more features, as well as tend to be more open. I have included examples of all these types below. There are some 3D printers I refrained from adding below, as they didn’t turn out to be good enough to make it to this list. I will make sure to come to this article & add more & more 3D printers to it as I review them.
Now I will leave you with the best affordable 3D printers~
Flashforge Creator Pro
Creator Pro is a good printer not just for those who are serious about 3D printing, but for those who are serious about it for the long run, as it supports many kinds of filament types. Having two extruders adds a lot to what can this 3D printer do, like the ability to print objects with two colors, or using 2 kinda of materials. Or both. Since it supports the popular Sailfish firmware, you will be able to do much more with it for no additional cost. And in short, it is one of the best 3D printers I reviewed so far.
Monoprice Maker Select is a good & affordable 3D printer that produce good prints, and while it can many things out of the box. It can do even more by modding & upgrading it. Tinkering with it may be time-consuming and the learning curve may be a bit high, but if you are willing to spend the time for that, the final result is totally worth it.
ROBO 3D R1
ROBO 3D R1 is a very good 3D printer. It has a big printing area, and it supports many kinds of printing materials. Compared to many other 3D printers, it is considered easy to set up. The auto-leveling bed can make your life easier, as opposed to doing it yourself. It is compatible with many of the 3D printing software out there, like Cura.
While it lacks LCD screen, something that will require you to attach it to a computer at least when you need to send a file to it. It is still a great printer I pretty much recommend it for anyone looking for a 3D printer to buy.
HICTOP Prusa I3
HICTOP Purse I3 is a great affordable 3D printer for anyone willing to get started with 3D printing, it requires some time & learning to get use to, but at the end, it is worth it if you are willing to put in the time for it.
You may need to replace some parts to fit your future needs, but out of the box, HICTOP Purse I3 generally provides everything you need to start printing.

While it certainly has its problems, HICTOP Auto Prusa I3 is a worth to get 3D printer in case you don’t mind doing DIY stuff. As well as tinkering & trying to make your 3D printer work for you. There is a learning curve to get through in order to get good results out of this printer, but once you get there, you will find yourself with an affordable 3D printer that does a lot for you.
The fact that HICTOP Auto Prusa I3 has some nifty features compared to the first Hictop Prusa i3 I reviewed. Like heated bed, which allow you to print with ABS filament & other types. As well as the auto-leveling bed, which can save the time of having to do it manually. I totally recommend this Hictop printer over the other one.
da Vinci 1.0 Pro is a good 3D printer that are kinda affordable. It is very similar to the Da Vinci 1.0 in more than an aspect, but it allows for the use of 3rd party filament, which is a huge improvement on its own. The bed leveling feature makes the process much easier. And the laser engraver is a nice addition in case you plan to use da Vinci 1.0 Pro to design products. Bear in mind that you need to be a bit tech savvy to fix some of the problems that you may face with this printer.

Xyzprinting Da Vinci 1.0
Da Vinci 1.0 is a good affordable 3D printer for first time 3D printing users. It is pre-assembled 3D printer, so you won’t need to assemble it yourself or anything. But there is some adjustment & calibration needed before you could do so. it supports both PLA & ABS filament, which are the most common filament types out there.
Bear in mind that Da Vinci 1.0 only supports proprietary filament from XYZPrinting, so you won’t be able to use any 3rd party filament out of the box. This can increase the cost of owning this 3D printer over time. But given the hacking community for this printer, you will be able to get around this. But there is risks behind that.
Xyzprinting Da Vinci Jr. 1.0
XYZprinting Da Vinci Jr. 1.0 is a great & affordable 3D printer for those who want to get started with 3D printing easily & quickly. It may have some limitations, but for the hobbyist use, it provides more than enough printing capabilities. To save you a lot of time solving some of the common problems, I included some Youtube videos below so that you will avoid many of these problems.
Since some people may prefer a higher-end printer, which provides more control, kindly click on one of the links below to see more options on Amazon & eBay.
List of of less affordable 3D with good quality
While this article is about affordable 3D printers, there are many quality 3D printers that you may want to know about. While these printers are not what I consider affordable. They offer some nice feature & peace of mind, making them worthy of checking out.
While I can’t say it is an affordable 3D printer, LulzBot Mini is a very good 3D printer. And to a good extent, it is a plug & Play 3D printer. One that requires less tinkering compared to many other 3d printers I reviewed. Thanks to the auto-leveling feature & the auto-nozzle cleaning, as well as the different settings profiles for different filament materials. Which will save you from having to experiment with different settings in Cura LulzBot Edition. Not to forget the PEI print surface, which save you from having to apply adhesive material on the surface.
With all the different filament types that works with it, LulzBot Mini is a good 3D printer to be used for long-term. Even if you only printed with PLA or ABS. It is a matter of time before you will want to try out some of the many different filament materials out there.
In short, LulzBot Mini is one of these 3D printers I totally recommend to anyone who is serious about 3D printing.
