The one featuring a Cintiq with an integrated computer into it. In case you wonder how the new model fares compared to its predecessor, I will showcase you the difference between the two models in this comparison.<\/p>\n<p>For the most part, this comparison will focus on differences between the two devices. At the end of it, I added a section to showcase the areas where the two models are the same.<\/p>\n<p>As usual, this comparison won&#8217;t pass a final judgment on which MobileStudio Pro you should the screens of the 2016 MobileStudio Pro is very similar to the 2019 one. One noticeable difference is the color gamut between the two screens. The original 2016 model had a 94% Adobe RGB gamut, while the new one come with 85%. I wonder what&#8217;s the reason for that, but generally speaking, color gamut is useful if you plan to print the photos &amp; artworks you create, as printers tend to support more colors than many monitors.<\/p>\n<p>The 2019 MobileStudio Pro supports White luminance uniformity. I am honestly not sure what that is, but I guess it normalize the brightness of every point on the screen.<\/p>\n<h2><a id=\"DifferenceInComputerSpecifications\"><\/a>Difference In Computer Specifications<\/h2>\n<p>Since MobileStudio Pro is a full-fledged computer with a Cintiq integrated into it, comparing the computer specifications is the same as comparing any two computers.<\/p>\n<p>You can find a comparison table of the main specifications between the 2016 &amp; the 2019 MobileStudio Pro below. The main difference is the upgrade in the CPU &amp; GPU we got. Those who already own the high-end 2016 model may not even need to consider upgrading. Those who owns any of the lower-end models will get a bigger upgrade.<\/p>\n<h2><a id=\"Upgradability\"><\/a>Upgradability<\/h2>\n<p>MobileStudio Pro 2019 has the advantage of being upgraded, if you ever needed more ram in the future, you can easily add more. If you need more storage, or the NVMe SSD stopped working after few years, you can replace that as well.<\/p>\n<p>Upgradability was the main bottleneck for many of the lower-end models of the 2016 MobileStudio Pro, so I am happy with having that in the 2019 model. The main advantage of the lower-end 2016 models is being an entry point to anyone who wanted a portable Cintiq. It&#8217;s worth noting that the stand came out very late (about early 2018), as Wacom kept postponing its release for a long time.<\/p>\n<h2><a id=\"TheCamerasAndTheRemovalOfRealsense3DCamera\"><\/a>The Cameras, And The Removal Of RealSense 3D Camera<\/h2>\n<p>The older MobileStudio Pro model was equipped with a RealSense 3D camera. A camera with the technology for capturing real life objects, and turn them into 3D objects (to some degree), and to work on them afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>I personally think this technology has a good future if improved upon. Wacom probably thought this kind of camera was going to be a big deal, but it looks like people didn&#8217;t care much for it.<\/p>\n<p><b>If you&#8217;re curious about this technology, you can buy a model came in multiple configurations, each with its own price. That made the MobileStudio Pro 2016 a good entry point to anyone who wanted a mobile Cintiq for simple tasks like drawing and painting, and without having to spend a big sum upfront.<\/p>\n<p>MobileStudio Pro 2019 comes in one configuration (the one I listed its configurations above), a pricy one, which means only those serious about working on the go, while using a Wacom device, would get it.<\/p>\n<p>I personally wish we had a lower configuration of the 2019 model, with all the upgradability, so those who don&#8217;t need the ram or storage can upgrade them later on when they get a real need for it.<\/p>\n<p><b>To check out MobileStudio Pro prices, kindly check the following Amazon &amp; As it has been reported that it had battery swelling issues, and instances where the GPU would fry itself. It&#8217;s still too early to know if the 2019 MobileStudio Pro has similar issues, but I totally hope these issues have been sorted out. As it&#8217;s so cool to have a portable computer with a Cintiq integrated into it.<\/p>\n<h2><a id=\"ThingsThatAreTheSameInBothModels\"><\/a>Things That Are The Same In Both Models<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7794\" src=\"https:\/\/sweetmonia.com\/Sweet-Drawing-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/No-USB-Port.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"342\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sweetmonia.com\/Sweet-Drawing-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/No-USB-Port.png 450w, https:\/\/sweetmonia.com\/Sweet-Drawing-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/No-USB-Port-300x228.png 300w, https:\/\/sweetmonia.com\/Sweet-Drawing-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/No-USB-Port-80x60.png 80w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Both models the Same 8192 pressure sensitivity.<\/li>\n<li>The screen resolution is the same in both models<\/li>\n<li>Same number of colors.<\/li>\n<li>Both models have 3 USB-C Ports.<\/li>\n<li>Both lack regular USB-A port as well.<\/li>\n<li>Express keys buttons count is the same.<\/li>\n<li>Both can read micro SDXC cards<\/li>\n<li>Both can be connected to a computer and be used as a regular Cintiq.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a id=\"FinalWordAboutTheComparison\"><\/a>Final Word About The Comparison<\/h2>\n<p>While the new model may not be that different from the older one from many areas. It added some key features, some of them are one I mentioned in my post <a href=\"https:\/\/sweetmonia.com\/Sweet-Drawing-Blog\/4-things-i-want-to-see-in-mobilestudio-pro-2-the-mobilestudio-pro-successor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">4 things I want to see in MobileStudio Pro 2 (the MobileStudio Pro successor)<\/a>, like the upgradability &amp; having the stand come with the unit.
