Following are a list of the best Wacom Cintiq Alternatives reviewed so far:-
Ugee HK1560 is a small pen display with a beautiful design, with a small screen that many will appreciate, as it’s larger than the 13-inches we used to see in the smaller pen displays.
Some people may have some trouble setting it up, but there’s a good chance you will like what you get once you do. The lack of the hot keys won’t be an issue if you don’t mind using the keyboard for shortcuts.
Parblo Coast10 10.1″ can be a good pen display for a hobbyist or someone looking for a cheap pen display. I don’t think it is good for professional work, giving the support level Parblo offers. But it could work great for you very well if you are willing to take a risk. To be fair, it tried to do something good, giving how it doesn’t require you to plug it to a wall, which makes it as portable as a regular graphics tablet, and how the pen that doesn’t require a battery to work. Also, bear in mind that the instruction manual for Parblo Coast10 10.1″ is not very goods, the English in it is bad. But it contains a lot of good information at least.
Yiynova MVP22U(V3) is another good way to get a Cintiq-like device for part of the price. It is similar to the other Cintiq Alternatives I reviewed before in more than a way, like how it comes with two pens (the two pens has different pressure curves), and how the screen size if as big as the Cintiqs multiple times its price. While Yiynova MVP22U(V3) doesn’t have some of the additional features Cintiq has like tilt sensitivity, but it still provides you with a great way to draw directly on screen.
Yiynova MVP22U(V3) can’t be used with Wacom devices on the same computer, as you will have to remove their drivers or they will conflict with it.
As long as you don’t mind the cons I mentioned about Yiynova MVP22U(V3), then you are going to like this device.
Huion GT-185HD Pen Display
Huion GT-185HD is very affordable Wacom Cintiq Alternative. It is so good that it may be somewhat competitive to the Cintiq, especially giving its size.
When it comes to features, Huion GT-185HD doesn’t lack it, as it features screen with HD resolution and good viewing angles, it is worth to note that this is the first time I see a pen display with that resolution from a company other than Wacom. Huion GT-185HD also features 8 express keys, which is another feature I only see in Wacom Cintiq. Also, this pen display has pressure sensitivity of 2048, and it looks elegant on the top of all that. You only need to be careful about possible dead pixels in the unit you will get, but besides that, I have nothing bad against it so far. Which is why I consider it to be one of the best Wacom Cintiq Alternatives.

Ugee 19-Inches is one of the most affordable Wacom Cintiq alternatives for those who want to draw directly & naturally on the screen. It provides a very good value for the money, especially given the screen size, the pressure sensitivity of the display is high enough, the viewing angle of the screen are also good, and it is compatible with the most common operating systems.
It may not has HD resolution or express keys, but you can still work without them by placing the keyboard near you.
This is a good Cintiq Alternative if you tried a traditional graphics tablet but didn’t like it, and it is a huge upgrade if you already use one. Depending on your needs, you can make it your device of choice for creating artworks, or use it temporarily until you can afford a Cintiq.
XP-Pen 22″ (Artist 22HD)
XP-Pen 22″ is a nice affordable pen display & Cintiq alternative, it is very similar to Ugee UG-2150, which is the same product. It supports a 2048 level of pressure sensitivity, and features a nice 21.5 inches HD screen. It supports many display types out of the box. You may face some driver problem with Windows 10 with this device, but even then you will still be able to use it at the end. It is a pretty much a product I recommend to anyone looking for an affordable pen display to get started with digital art, or for anyone who wants to an affordable upgrade from a regular graphics tablet.
ASUS PT201Q is a decent pen display & Cintiq alternative that comes for a good price. It features a tethered pen, which is weird for a pen display. But overall, the draw experience it offers is good, especially with the low parallax in it, which is credit to Sharp(the real manufacturer of the screen). The pressure sensitivity is also more than enough for most artists, and the screen has good colors too, despite being a TFT panel.
While ASUS PT201Q is quite affordable for its size, the nibs & pen are not that affordable. It is probably not a problem with the pen in case you are careful with your things. For the nibs, preserving your nibs as long as you can may help you alleviate that problem. But at the very least, the pen & the nibs are available for sale now (They were not in the past).
Just like the case with all the Cintiq replacement, ASUS PT201Q is not perfect, but it works very well compared to the other pen display. I advise you to check the cons just in case to see if you can go with that. Especially when it comes with the limited number of supported art applications.
Yiynova MVP20U+RH is one more good Cintiq alternative in case you want an affordable way to draw directly on your screen, as long as you don’t its cons. The idea of having a hotkeys remote in a non-Wacom is new to me, which is what distinguishes Yiynova MVP20U+RH the most. Though there is a certain chance the remote may not work the best way. It is considered a good move by Yiynova to try and make something like that.
Huion GT 220 Pen Monitor 21.5 Inches
Huion GT-220 is another Cintiq alternative & competitor I review here. It can be considered a good product in general, especially giving how it costs a fraction of the bigger Cintiq models, but it could have been a real Cintiq contender had not it been for some annoying problems in it, many of them are mentioned in this review.
If you just want to draw on the screen, and don’t want to risk spending a lot of money and possibly face some problems with it, and at the same time don’t care about screen size, then Cintiq 13HD, or the touch one of it, can be good alternatives of Huion GT-220. Some other Cintiq alternatives can be a similar bargain to it too.
Huion GT-190S is a great Wacom Cintiq Alternative for artists who want an entry into pen displays. It is so affordable, provides a very good value for the money. It also has an attractive design. And the fact that Huion offers a free shipping to many countries outside the USA is a big plus on its own. It may not has the ideal screen, but it still provides a very good value for the money despite of that
Note:- Huion GT-190S is an updated version of Huion GT-190, which is listed below
HUION GT-190 19 Inches Pen Display
HUION GT-190 Offers a larger screen than the cheapest Cintiq for a fraction of the price, for about half the price of the cheapest Wacom Cintiq available, you will get a 19 inch pen display. with a 2048 level of pressure sensitivity. And a very responsive screen. One that’s compatible with all the major graphics software, and operating systems like Windows & Mac OSX.
It is considered one of many good options if you are just starting out in digital art, and want something better than a regular graphics tablet.
Yiynova MSP19U+ is another very good Wacom Cintiq alternative. Chances that you will like this pen display. As long you don’t mind its shortcomings that are mentioned below. In general, it is very great pen display for art students or those who do digital art as a hobby but don’t want the full features of Wacom Cintiq or can’t afford it. While it is certainly not a full-fledged Cintiq, it is close enough to satisfy most of those who want one.
Monoprice 19-Inch TFT Interactive Pen Display Monitor (110707)
Monoprice 19-Inch TFT is a very affordable Cintiq alternative for much less money. It is great choice if you are new to digital art. Or in case you don’t like drawing using regular graphics tablets.
As long your expectations are reasonable. Or you are a drawing digitally for a hobby. You are going to like this pen display. But bear in mind that you may have to hassle with it a little bit before getting it to work perfectly for you
It is not a perfect Cintiq, but it can do for a starter. If you can afford a Wacom Cintiq, go ahead and get it. But in general, it is a good way to try the Cintiq before buying it.
Wacom Cintiq 13HD
I am aware that this post is about Wacom Cintiq alternatives. But it is still worth it to mention the cheapest option you plan to get an alternative for (Which is why I placed it last in the list). While you may have a gripe or two about it. You are surely going to like it. It is the most guaranteed product over here. If you want the Cintiq, and if you can afford it. Then go ahead and get it, it is the pen displays market leader. So you can’t go wrong with it. It will make everything in your digital art better :)
Also, don’t forget to check out the newer touch version of Cintiq 13HD.
What about Buying a used Cintiq?
The thing is, one of the best Cintiq alternatives is to get a used Cintiq, there are many older models, and sometimes the newer models that are available for a very good discount. Many of us have fear of getting used stuff, as we have no idea how the item condition will be. But getting used things online makes the process much faster. It is not just that we get to know as much information about the seller or the used things we are interested in. But if we got it from a known marketplace like Amazon or eBay. We can be much more assured that there is something to fall back to if things didn’t go as planned.
